Town Manager

Tuesday May 2 at 2:30 PM, the water will be turned off at North Main Bridge to Hazen Union, at High Street, Wakefield Street, Maple Street, Church Street, and Slapp Hill.  It is expected that the water will be on as soon as possible after the work is completed.  The work is being performed to add two main valves for the new service line.  Expect some discoloration of the water after the water is turned back on.  Let the water run for several minutes to clear the lines.

Munson Earthmoving has been awarded the Church Street to Slapp Hill waterline replacement project.  Munson plans to begin initial work cutting asphalt on Monday, May 1, 2017.  They will begin trenching the waterline on Monday, May 8, 2017 and will plan to complete the line installation within two weeks.  The individual service line connections and hydrant installations will be performed during the remainder of the project.  Substantial completion of the project is expected by the end of July 2017.

Through traffic will be maintained via one lane while work is underway.  For the first two weeks, parking near the Memorial building will be limited to parking on North Main Street, West Church Street and at the Hardwick Electric parking lot.   If you have questions, please call the Town Offices at 472-6120.
