Planning Commission


Regular Meetings

The Planning Commission meets at 6:30PM on the second Tuesday of every month.

Please note that the Planning Commission will meet on the fourth Monday in the month of May due to a scheduling conflict for the NVDA planning department.  The agenda for the May 22nd meeting is posted below.

Duties

Determining and executing projects related to The Town Plan and alterations to the Zoning Bylaws.

The Hardwick Select Board accepted the zoning bylaw changes proposed by the Hardwick Planning Commission at the Select Board meeting on November 17, 2016.  The zoning bylaws became effective on December 8, 2016.  Copy available here:

The Hardwick Select Board is still accepting letters of interest to fill a Planning Commission seat which will expire in June of 2019.  The Commission is preparing to oversee the next update to the Hardwick Municipal Plan.  No special expertise or certification is required, but a willingness to be objective and collaborative is desired.  Interested parties may send a letter of interest to the Hardwick Town Manager, Jon Jewett, at jon.jewett@hardwickvt.org or mail to PO Box 523, Hardwick, VT  05843.  Questions may be directed to Kristen Leahy, Zoning Administrator, at zoning.administrator@hardwickvt.org or by calling 802-472-6120.  Letters are due by Friday, June 9, 2017.  Applicants should plan to attend the June 15, 2017 Select Board meeting.
